We were delighted at the response to our December Giveaway Competition. We’re sorry if you didn’t win, but we were delighted that the Facebook Competition Fairy (Yes, there really is one!) chose – Belinda Daly as our winner.
We look forward to welcoming her to La Richardière during this season. It seems that competitions are quite popular, so we’ll probably run another one early this year. Watch this space.

Highlights from 2019:

Grand Pressigny Music Festival

Making a feature of special activities through the year seems like a popular thing to do on the Television these days. We thought it might be an interesting way to start the New Year, so here are some of our favourite moments from 2019.

La Celle Geunand Brocante

Village Activities: Our closest village is Le Petit Pressigny. There is an active Comité des Fêtes which organises several big social events during the year. There was a Plant swap; a Music Festival; Bastille celebrations; an Arts festival to name but four. It’s the same in all the other villages around and so, whenever people come to stay at Gites de La Richardière, there is sure to be an event to visit somewhere in the neighbourhood.

On Facebook we publish lots of information on our business page. By far the most popular posting was a recent post about the Chateau at Ambroise (click on the picture to see the full post)  and it’s associated connection with Leonardo da Vinci. The post reached over 3,499 people and we think that was partly due to people sharing the post on their Facebook timelines.

Thank you to all our readers for reading and forwarding our posts and newsletters as this helps with our business promotion.

New promotional video:We just released our 2020 promotional video which has been enhanced this year by Mark Brown (yes – he is related to us) who came and took some stunning Drone video for us. We think these pictures make an excellent way to appreciate the calmness and isolation of our Gites which is great for people looking for a tranquil holiday.

Thanks again for reading and/or sharing.

Best wishes for now and for 2020,
Dave and Patience
