SEASON’S GREETINGS: We hope that you and your families will have a great seasonal break and maybe spend some time planning your next holiday. Who knows, maybe that will be with us in Central France enjoying the great countryside, magnificent Chateaus, fine wine and excellent food.
LOCAL EVENTS:In the local area, like many other parts of the world, there are many seasonal celebrations. We are looking forward to the plethora of Christmas markets. Almost every village has an event where local artisans come to sell their Christmas products which they must have spent all year making in their backrooms or workshops. It is amazing to see the care and quality given to these Christmas oriented artefacts. There is also a chance to “test” the local wines and beers and to sample the local food delicacies.
Groups of carol singers visit many of these markets locally. This local group has English, American and French singers and they make a splendid sight with their Dickensian costumes. This year we’ll be singing with them and it’s a great experience to sing in English, French, German and Latin along with the support of the small brass band which turns out to play.
We are pleased to announce our Christmas Giveaway Competition.
